EA Administrator’s Deed of Company Arrangement has passed

By Equestrian Life

Today saw the second meeting of creditors for Equestrian Australia’s voluntary administration proceedings. KordaMentha’s (the administrator’s) Deed of Company Arrangement (DOCA) to reform the sport was passed by the majority of creditors — this proposal was endorsed by Sport Australia, the Australian Olympic Committee and the FEI.

Five state branches offered their own proposal to reform the sport, however their DOCA was rejected.

What are the next steps?

The administrators will now convene a special meeting of members to consider and vote on amending the constitution.

A transitional board of directors will be formed within 45 days of that meeting.
