Australian para dressage riders Emma Booth and Amelia White are set to compete at CPEDI3* Peelbergen in Kronenberg, the Netherlands, from this evening (Australian time).

Friday 17 June

Grade III Team Test

  • Emma Booth and Friday IV, owned by Lyn Sultana, Mark Sultana and Maree Tomkinson – 4pm AEST (8am local time)
  • Emma Booth and Fürst Deluxe, owned by Maree Tomkinson – 6.08pm AEST (10.08am local time)

Grade V Team Test

  • Amelia White and Genius, owned by Amelia White, Antje White and Ian White – 5.20pm AEST (9.20am local time)

Both will be hoping to post scores that will help them gain selection for the Australian team heading to the World Championships in August.

To compete at the FEI World Championships, combinations must achieve a Minimum Eligibility Requirement (MER) score of 62% in the Team or Individual Test at a CPEDI3* or above during the qualification period; this is a qualification requirement set by the FEI.

In addition, Australia’s own selection criteria requires combinations to provide two Team and two Individual Test scores (where scores of 70%+ are of particular interest) this year in order to then be considered for team selection. Overseas riders such as Emma and Amelia can use any CPEDI3* shows as discussed with the Para Equestrian High Performance Manager.

The Individual Tests at CPEDI3* Peelbergen take place on Saturday, followed by the Freestyles Sunday.
