As the FEI General Assembly wraps up in Moscow, Russia, there has been talk that a CCI5*S class could be considered as an inclusion to the eventing discipline in the future.

In a summary of the meeting held on the 16th November, it was noted that the FEI is exploring the possibility of introducing CCI5*S classes in 2021. A survey is being conducted within the community to gain feedback on the idea.

The below excerpt is from the FEI General Assembly report from the 16 November:

“The Eventing Committee is exploring the possibility of introducing a 5* short format, which is not currently included in the Eventing Rules. A survey is being conducted within the community and feedback received will allow the Eventing Committee to make a recommendation for next year on the potential creation of this new category for 2021.”
