Hazel Shannon and Willingapark Clifford have landed in Lexington, Kentucky, and have begun their preparations for the CCI5* Kentucky Three-Day Event – exciting times!
“It’s been a week since Willingapark Clifford and I left Australia,” says Hazel, “Last night Heath (Ryan) and Tiani (Clifford’s groom) arrived here at Valley View Farm which is just outside Lexington. It is a beautiful property with great facilities and really helpful and welcoming people.”
“In true Heath style they arrived at 1.30am with a bunch of entertaining stories of missed flights, lost passports and general disarray. Pretty sure my trip here with Clifford was less dramatic!”

“It’s been a gentle week for Clifford letting him recover from the flight. Today we had a dressage lesson with Heath. Clifford was really happy to be back working and produced some of his best dressage work yet,” she says.
We look forward to following Hazel and Clifford’s progress as they prepare for Land Rover Kentucky 3DE, held from April 25-28.
Hazel will join two other Australian combinations at the prestigious event – Dominic Schramm and Bolytair B, and Clayton Fredericks on FE Ophelia.
