The first two weeks of an inquest into the tragic deaths of young event riders Caitlyn Fischer and Olivia Inglis concluded on the 24 May in the Coroners Court in Sydney.
The inquest examined a number of issues, including whether safety procedures at NSW equestrian events were adequate and whether physical aspects of the courses contributed to the deaths.
Following the adjournment of the first part of the inquest, Equestrian Australia CEO Lucy Warhurst released a letter to members on the inquest’s progress. You can read the letter in full here.
The inquest will continue from the 22 July, 2019.
