Irish showjumper David Simpson and Foudre F have jumped to victory in the CSI3* Grand Prix at the Dodson & Horrell Bolesworth International Horse Show.

The Irish combination was up against a field of highly experienced riders, but have come away with the £16,500 prize after jumping clear on the 1.50 metre course yesterday.

Following behind Simpson in second place British rider and jumping veteran William Whitaker and Galtur with 1 time penalty. In third place was fellow Irishman Daniel Coyle and Oak Grove’s Carlyle.

After a win in the early stages of the Grand Prix over the weekend, Holly Smith dropped back to fourth place with Fruselli but finished with a clear round.
