By Equestrian Life
Isabell Werth has won the CDI4* Grand Prix and Special with DSP Quantaz at the Horses & Dreams CDI4*, held at the famous Hof Kasselmann in Hagen.
The pair won the Grand Prix on 79.913%, only a touch under their personal best of 80.348%. The 10 year old German Sport Horse stallion (Quarterback x Hohenstein 4) debuted at Big Tour in May 2019, and is owned by Austrian Victoria Max-Theurer.
Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on Zaire-E were the runners up on 77.500%, with Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and Dark Legend third on 76.717%.
Isabell and DSP Quantaz also won the CDI4* Special on 80.659%. Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Zaire-E were again second on 78.192%, and Charlotte Fry and Dark Legend third on 77.085%.
“I am of course very satisfied. Quantaz passed two very good tests with few mistakes. After Balve (Isabell competed at the German National Championships with Weihegold OLD) it was a short start-up, but he did it really well and with almost 80 percent and over 80 percent, that’s very, very gratifying. He’s a great horse,” praised Werth.
In the CDI4* Freestyle, Lone Bang Larsen and Bakkely’s Onandt (Onassis x Michellino) danced to victory. The pair achieved a terrific 78.085% and won ahead of Victoria Max-Theurer with her stallion Rockabilly (Rock Forever x Ehrentusch). The two also gave an impressive performance, which was rewarded by the jury with 77.550%. Third place went to Hubertus Schmidt with his DSK Belstaff (Brentano II x De Niro) on 77.270%.
