More medals for Australia at the Special Olympics World Games

The Australian equestrian team has secured a further three medals on day two of competition at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin.
Isabella Parisi claimed the gold medal in the Level B (I) Dressage D06 riding Nike to a terrific score of 74.118%, with teammate Karen Messmer securing silver aboard Fanny with 72.647%.
In Level B (I) Dressage D05, Oliver King – the youngest in the entire Australian World Games team at age 15 – was awarded the bronze medal for his test with Fanny, where the pair scored 73.236%.
Finally, Jaye Barnesby-Buie and Querida-Quamira – bronze medal winners from their dressage division yesterday – finished fourth in the Level A English Equitation D04 with a fabulous score of 72.222%.

The Special Olympics World Games is the world’s largest inclusive sporting event and involves over 7,000 athletes with intellectual disability from 190 delegations are competing across 26 sports over nine days.
