Saddlefitter Brisbane CDN set to continue despite Queensland Covid cases

Organisers announced on Saturday that the Saddlefitter Brisbane CDN is still set to go ahead despite a small number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Queensland.
“The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDN, 16-19 September 2020 is currently proceeding.
“Despite the announcement this morning of nine (9) COVID-19 cases in the greater Brisbane area and advice home gatherings are now limited to ten (10) people, outdoor social gatherings to thirty (30) people, nursing homes locked down.
“Currently, sporting events with an APPROVED QLD GOVT/HEALTH DEPT COVID SAFETY PLAN are still able to operate. The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDN has an APPROVED COVID safety plan, Dr Tracey Bessell is the event COVID Safety Officer.
“The situation is dynamic and fluid, event directors will make further statements as the situation evolves,” reads the event statement.
As of yesterday, there were just 2 new Covid cases recorded (past 24 hours), bringing the total number of active cases in the state to 17.
