Irish show jumper, Bertram Allen has announced the retirement of his brilliant show jumping mare, Molly Malone V. The duo have won countless titles at the top level of the sport, and have together represented Ireland on multiple occasions.

Some of their career highlights include winning the  CSIO5* Grand Prix of Dublin, the CSI5* Longines FEI World Cup of Verona and winning the CSI5* Grand Prix of Dinard. The pair also represented Ireland at the World Equestrian Games in 2014 and CHIO Aachen the following year.

“We have decided to announce the retirement of my long-time partner and friend, Molly Malone, at the age of 15. Molly propelled me to the top of the sport at a very young age and for that, I will be eternally grateful! We now look forward to the future where Molly will enter a new era of her career as a breeding mare! Thank you, everyone, for following us throughout our career! A special thank you to Marlen Schannwell who has been with her on every step of our incredible journey!”, shared Allen on his Facebook page yesterday.

EQ Life wishes Molly Malone V a very happy retirement!
