Simone Pearce 32nd in Dressage World Rankings

By Equestrian Life

Australian rider Simone Pearce is currently 32nd in the world on the FEI Dressage World Rankings with the latest list released at the start of the month. Simone and stallion Destano have risen from 37th last month, following their second place in the CDIO5* Grand Prix Special at CHIO Aachen.

The next highest ranked Australian is Lyndal Oatley and Eros at 87, up from 407 following a number of recent great results. Simone’s Olympic team mate, Kelly Layne, is 96th with Samhitas.

Congratulations Simone, Lyndal and Kelly… three Aussies in the top 100!

With no CDI events currently running in Australia, locally based combinations have not been able to earn ranking points for some time.

At the top of the FEI Dressage World Rankings is current Olympic and European champions Jessica Von Bredow-Werndl and TSF Dalera of Germany, just head of Denmark’s Cathrine Dufour and Bohemian. Charlotte Dujardin and Gio are next, followed by Isabell Werth rounding out the top five with Weihegold OLD and DSP Quantaz. (You can read more about Isabell and DSP Quantaz in the October edition of Equestrian Life magazine).
