Simone Pearce & Fiderdance qualify for possible World Championship team selection
By Equestrian Life
Australian Olympian Simone Pearce has qualified her new ride, Fiderdance, for possible FEI World Championship team selection after posting a winning score of 70.587% in the CDI3* Grand Prix at Ornago, Italy.
“Super happy with Mr Fidel winning the Grand Prix at CDI Ornago. Now we have had two weeks to get to know each other and I could really feel that we are starting to feel comfortable together in the ring,” said Simone following the test.
“I rode a super easy-going test to be more safe while we are still getting to know each other and whilst we still had some costly mistakes, we had much more harmony and flow in the test and we got our changes (which proved a challenge last time) it’s early days and we have so much to learn and improve but I’m super proud that Mr Fidel has managed to get his two international qualification scores to be able considered for the Aussie team at (the World Championships) and we have only known each other 3 weeks.”
Simone and the 13-year-old stallion, who is by Fidertanz 2 out of a Don Schufro mare and owned by Gestüt Bonhomme, also won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special on a score of 71.809%.
“Now I can’t wait to go home and practice, improve and get to know each other better and better,” said Simone following her second win of the weekend.
Congratulations Simone!
