Australian dressage rider Simone Pearce is preparing for a new future in Germany after leaving Helgstrand Dressage in Denmark, her home of four years.

Simone has spent eight years riding in Europe, and her four years at Helgstrand Dressage have delivered outstanding success — particularly on the young horse stage where she made multiple finals over the past couple of years on Helgstrand horses at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo.

Simone has also enjoyed success with Grand Prix horse Wladimir O.A. The now 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood began his career in Sweden and won the 2008 Swedish Young Horse Championships with Pernilla André Hokfel; the pair stepped out at Grand Prix level in 2016.

Wladimir O.A. then came to Helgstrand Dressage and was sold to Korean Yoo-Ra Chung as a schoolmaster, however Chung was arrested for her involvement in a serious money laundering scandal and was forced to sell the horse. This is where Simone entered the picture; she purchased him with the 2018 WEG in mind. The pair achieved great results at CDIs around Europe, but unfortunately just fell short of achieving Equestrian Australia’s required qualifying scores during the preliminary selection period to be considered for WEG team selection.

Simone has now elected to sell Wladimir O.A. to the best of homes in Arizona, USA, where he will be ridden by new owner Nan Corwin and trained by Lientje Schueler.

Simone is looking to build upon her amazing experiences at Helgstrand Dressage as she begins the next chapter of her riding career in Germany.

Best of luck, Simone!
