The weather gods were in everyone’s favour at Werribee today for a big day of dressage at the Melbourne International Three-Day Event.

The CCI4*L – which under last year’s classification was the CCI3* – was hotly contested with a big field of nearly 30 entries. The first to ride was Stuart Tinney on the lovely chestnut, Celebration; the pair were last year’s 2* winners. It was to be the first of three rides for Stuart, and scoring 28.9 penalties, they were always going to be hard to beat. By the end of the class, the pair were still on top of the leaderboard!
