Sydney CD-Lite gets underway

The weather may not have been on the riders’ side, but that did not stop them from kickstarting the Helgstrand at Turnberry Sydney CD-Lite with a bang!
Elliot Patterson rode Emma and Paul Weel’s Santiago to first in the Bates Saddles Intermediate II CDN with a score of 69.00%. The combination had a few mistakes but the passage work and the extended trots were highlights and showed great promise for the partnership they will form. In second was Jemma Heran on her stunning Total Recall, an unfortunate error today costing them the win but still finishing their test with 68.500%. Rounding out the top three was Robert-Harrison Schmerglatt riding Quando Queen for a score of 66.882%.
The Horseland Para Equestrian Grade II Team Test was won by Maddison Cooke riding the gorgeous Byalee Magic II with a great score of 67.222%. In second was Joann Formosa on Lucifers Lovelight with 62.222%.
Dianne Barnes and Cil Dara Cosmic started and finished their test with an average of 8.0’s for her centrelines to claim first in the Horseland Para Equestrian Grade IV Team Test today with 70.875%. In second was Helen Batson riding Fayani with 68.417% and in third was Kylie Christian riding Bellaire Cannavaro with a score of 62.417%.
In the Horseland Para Equestrian Grade V Team Test, Lisa Martin and Juicy Wiggle danced their way to first with a score of 69.922%. In second was Melissa Cannon and PPH Zeppelin with a score of 65.659%. Keeping them on their toes was Stuart Drysdale riding Blueberry 20 who finished on a score of 65.465%.
