The Longines European Eventing Championships commenced yesterday with the horse inspection, with all 73 horses passing.

Frenchman Karim Florent Laghouag was asked by the ground jury to present his 16-year-old gelding Punch De L’Esques for a second time. The chestnut gelding was passed after heading down the runway for a second time.

The ground jury included Martin Plewa, Anne-Mette Binder and Australia’s Peter Andrew Shaw.
