Willinga Park’s Dressage by the Sea is the second last qualifying event for Australian based Grand Prix riders.
The high performance sports director Chris Webb has stipulated that dressage combinations must have achieved 69% or above in the Grand Prix test a minimum of two CDI3* competitions during the preliminary selection period 1 July 2017- 30 April 2018. Today’s Grand Prix was very important.
Judging the Grand Prix today was Marian Cunningham (PER), Ricky MacMillan (AUS), Raphael Saleh (FRA), Maribel Alonso (MEX) and Maria Schwennesen (AUS).
Congratulations to Alexis Hellyer and Bluefields Floreno on winning today’s Grand Prix with a score of 69.76%. This is a score that can go towards them qualifying for the World Equestrian Games later this year. Now we will have to wait and see how the pair go at Dressage with the Stars at Werribee.
