The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDN is underway!

The 2021 Saddlefitter Brisbane CDN is underway at Queensland State Equestrian Centre, with competition commencing yesterday and continuing throughout today.

On Wednesday, competitors familiarised themselves with QSEC - many after a substantial break from big competitions thanks to Covid!

The first Big Tour class of the event, the Equestrian Queensland CDN Intermediate II, was won by Elizabeth Owens and Revelwood Starlite on 65.257%.

In the Medium Tour, the Equestrian Queensland CDN Intermediate A (Open) went to Matthew Lord and Immenhof Scout on 66.691%, while the CDN Intermediate A (AAOR) went to Vicki Gowland and Rakete on 64.228%.

In the Preliminary classes, the Martin Collins Preliminary 1B and 1C (Open) went to Matthew Lord and HV Fursten Highness with scores of 71.339% and 71.875%; the pair therefore claimed the Preliminary Open Championship. The Equestrian Queensland Preliminary 1B (AAOR) went to Joanne Linsley and Rose Gum Galilee on 73.571%, while the Preliminary 1C (AAOR) went to Jasmin Hunt-Petty and Fiorentina B on 71.250%; the latter won the overall Preliminary AAOR Championship.

Today, the action continued across a wide range of classes, including the Hygain CDN Grand Prix - which was won by Elizabeth Owens and Revelwood Starlite on 65.435%.

In the Medium Tour, the Equestrian Queensland CDN Intermediate B (Open) went to Matthew Lord and Immenhof Scout on 68.063%, while the AAOR was won by Vicki Gowland and Rakete on 61.982%.

The Kohnke’s Own CDN Prix St Georges (Open) went to Alexis Hellyer and Valhalla I on 71.324%, with Alexis also claiming second place riding Daenarys on 70.662%. The AAOR PSG class went to Lee Muir-Clarke and Davinci L on 67.684%.

The Dressage Queensland FEI Pony Team Test was won by Lucy Doneathy and Byntawel Twilight on 57.857%.

The young riders were also in action today, with the Dressage Queensland FEI Children Preliminary B Test going to Mia Doogue and Delon Park Hilkens Shadow on 67.679%, the Horseland Gold Coast FEI Junior Team Test going to Bronte Rigney and Jaybee Angelina on 70.909%, and the Petstock FEI Young Rider Team Test being won by India Cochrane and GB Winchester on 66.140%.

The International Horse Breeders Under 25 Intermediate II went to Eliza Cullen and Dobria De Jeu on 65.257%.

The Dressage Queensland Riders Subcommittee Medium (AAOR) classes saw Emma Weel and Bellaphina win the 4B on 70.135%, and the 4C on 72.22%; Emma therefore claimed the Medioum AAOR Championship!

The Remi Stud Novice 2B and 2C (Open) classes saw Matthew Lord and HV Fursten Highness continue their winning form from yesterday, with big scores of 75.147% and 73.786%; they claimed the Novice Open Championship.

The Gala Equine Novice 2B (AAOR) was won by Helen Kolodko and Benchmark Domino on 72.794%, while the 2C went to Georgia Thurgate and Benchmark Dream On with 72.143%. Helen and Benchmark Domino won the Novice AAOR Championship.
