International dressage competitions are back
By Dana Krause
The return to CDIs in Australia started off with a bang! Day one of the Homes and Acreage Boneo Summer Dressage Championships saw competitors dusting off their outfits and getting dressed up to the nines for today’s trot up. It seems Boneo Park missed CDIs as much as the riders; the property is immaculately presented, and riders are buzzing with excitement of what the next few days will hold.
With 32 combinations participating in the CDI classes and only one needing to repeat the trot up tomorrow (which after witnessing its excitement on the walk back to the stables will hopefully pass tomorrow morning) it is looking like a strong field for the return to International classes in Australia.

The first CDN class for the championship highlighted the talent present at this competition with Pauline Carnovale and Corinna scoring 70.490% in the County Saddlery Australia Intermediate II. Second, third and fourth were a close-knit group today with less than 0.4% separating the three combinations. Second being claimed by NSW rider Rosann Tyler on Sandro Bliss with 64.608%, third was Queensland rider Julie Bland and Jordan on 64.461% and in fourth was Katrina Bolmat and Hollands Bend Welltich with 64.216%.
