Mary Hanna qualifies Calanta for possible Australian team selection
By Equestrian Life
Australian Olympian Mary Hanna and her Tokyo mare Calanta have finished fourth in a CDI3* Grand Prix in Hagen, Germany, scoring 70.478%.
“So thrilled with Calanta,” said Mary following her test. “Fourth place in the GP for 70.47%. Now I have both Syriana and Cally qualified for the FEI World Championships and possible selection for the Australian team.”
Mary, who only recently travelled to Europe to be reunited with Calanta, competed at the Redefin CDI3* in Germany not long ago, scoring 69.087% to finish fifth in the Grand Prix.
The FEI requires two scores over 66% for combinations to be qualified for the World Championships, while the Australian selection criteria requires two scores over 69% to be considered for the team. Mary has ticked both boxes with both her mares.
Best of luck to Mary in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special today!
