The second day of dressage action at The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDI for 2022 saw some excellent, home-grown talent on display.
After a couple of years of interrupted and cancelled shows, the sheer joy to be out and competing again could be seen in both riders and horses as they bounced around the arenas at QSEC.
In the County Saddlery CDN Grand Prix, the striking combination of Marvin Smink and Haya stole the show with a score of 64.326. Close behind them in 2nd place were Matthew Lord and Diamond Jive on 62.717, while Robyne Smith and Gwandalan Luca collected 3rd with 60.652.

Stepping up the heat in the Hygain CDI Grand Prix, Jessica Dertell claimed victory with a score of 67.652 riding Cennin. In 2nd place was Sheridyn Ashwood and the lovely Fererro Chocolate Box on 65.587, while 3rd went to Emma Flavelle-Watts and Cabaret C with 64.848.
Tomorrow will bring the Freestyle tests for these many of these combinations!
