Annabella Pidgley and Gio win at Hickstead

By Equestrian Life

Gio, formerly ridden by Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin, stepped out with his new rider in the saddle at the All England Dressage Festival last week - winning both the Intermediate II and Under-25 Grand Prix tests.

Their score of 77.304% in the Inter II was nearly five percent ahead of the second placed combination. The pair produced a beautiful test and trainer Charlotte Dujardin was extremely proud of them.

The pair also contested the U-25 Grand Prix, scoring 76.838% to claim the win.

Charlotte enjoyed a very successful partnership with the pint-sized chestnut, taking home team and individual bronze medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, as well as team silver and individual bronze at the 2021 European Championships.

Full results from the All England Dressage Festival can be found here.
