Aussie Olympians post promising results abroad

There were good results this weekend for Aussie Olympians competing abroad - in the United States Scott Keach was third in the Grand Prix CSI4* at Tryon International Equestrian Centre while in Belgium  James Paterson-Robinson was second in the Grand Prix CSI3* at Kapellen. 

 

Scott Keach third at Tryon International CSI4* in the USA

1988 Olympian Scott Keach finished third in the $210,000 Grand Prix CSI4* at Tryon International Equestrian Centre (TIEC). In front of a large crowd of spectators Keach rode Fedor, his 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, crossing through the jump-off in 38.475 seconds, with only one rail down.

Bella Baloubet (2014 FEI World Equestrian Games representative for Australia with rider Amy Graham) had his first outing with new rider Kimberly Prince of the US, and also enjoyed success, finishing in second place with a time of 39.977 seconds.  

Schuyler Riley (USA) finished first aboard the nine-year-old Dobra De Porceyo. The duo stopped the clock with a time of 39.009 seconds.

James Paterson-Robinson second of the Kapellen International CSI3* in Belgium

Olympic and World Equestrian Games representative James Paterson-Robinson produced two clear rounds to finish second of the CSI3* 1m55 Grand Prix FEI Longines Ranking Competition with his 10-year-old KWPN mare Athene

Paterson-Robinson and his mount were one of five combinations to produce two clear rounds and they secured second position with a time of 42.53 seconds.  

The Belgian Niels Bruynseels was the fastest in a time of 40.59 seconds, with his 9-year-old Cas De Liberté while Dutch rider Marc Houtzager followed in 3rd place (42.90) with Sterrehof's Baccarat.
