Isabel English and Kevin McNab are competing in the CCI2*-L 6-Year-Old-Championship class at the FEI WBSFSH World Breeding Eventing Championships in Le Lion d’Angers, France this weekend.

Riding the lovely grey Holsteiner mare Cute Girl by Coventry, Kevin McNab scored an impressive 30.0 penalties in the Dressage test to hold 4th place heading into the Cross Country phase. Unfortunately the pair were eliminated after jumping a 7-Year-Old-Championship fence in error.

Isabel English and Glenorchy, an Irish Sport Horse mare by Clover Echo scored 34.2 penalties in the Dressage phase for 20th position, and have now climbed to 14th position after the Cross Country phase, having produced a confident round clear of jumping and time penalties.

33 combinations, from 38 starters in the 6-Year-Old-Championship class will progress to Sunday’s Showjumping phase. Great Britain's Tom McEwen currently holds the lead with MHS Brown Jack ahead of Ingrid Klimke riding Cascamara.

In the 7-Year-Old-Championship class, Sophie Leube holds the lead after Cross Country for Germany with Sweetwaters Ziethen TSF ahead of France's Nicholas Touzaint riding Diabolo Menthe.

Good luck in the Showjumping phase Isabel and Glenorchy!
