CHIO Rotterdam is underway in the Netherlands. The event, which includes Nations Cup classes, spans a number of disciplines and has many top combinations competing.

In the dressage, Edward Gal and Glock’s Zonik had an early win the Grand Prix with a big score of 76.957%. Sweden’s Therese Nilshagen was second on Dante Weltino OLD, with a score of 76.152%, while Patrik Kittel and Well Done de la Roche was third in 75.804%. In terms of Nations Cup team standings, the Netherlands are at the top of the table, ahead of Sweden and the USA; the Special and Freestyle are still to come.

In the jumping, the opening CSIO5* competition went to Ireland’s Denis Lynch and RMF Cadeau de Muze, from Brazil’s Luiz Francisco de Azevedo and HBR Dance.

Competition continues at Rotterdam over the weekend.
