Clarke Johnstone and Balmoral sensation will not be competing in the upcoming World Equestrian Games in Tryon due to Balmoral Sensation sustaining an injury.

The disappointing news will be a real shame for the combination, as well as the New Zealand eventing team, as the pair would have strongly contributed to the teams overall outcome.
The combination recently finished in 5th position in the CICO3* class in Aachen.

Johnstone stated that ‘It is a huge, huge blow for me and also to my family, support team and friends who are all such an important part of our journey. Feeling very sad at the moment for my beautiful horse but he will make a full recovery’’.

Since their tremendous win at the 2017 Australian International 3 Day Event in Adelaide they have won a variety of classes, including the CIC3* at Kihikihi and Hastings. The pair also finished in 7th position in the CIC3* Event Rider Masters series, which was held recently in Arville.

We wish Balmoral Sensation a speedy recovery!
