Falsterbo Horse Show CDIO5* in Sweden is set to install cameras in the warm up arena as a pre-emptive measure. The initiative follows a number of high profile cases where riders have been accused of incorrect riding.

Organisers have explained that it’s to protect that sport and provide video footage that can be used for review if needed — and it’s the first time such cameras have been used at a show.

The event is also a trailblazer when it comes to its Nations Cup format. Falsterbo is set to be the first show to adopt the new Olympic format that will see three (rather than four) riders compete for each country.
