The Oldenburg auction venue in Vechta has very good news to report on the market situation for Elite foals. A top colt named Double Hit by Diamond Hit – Sandro Hit – Rubinstein I, was knocked down for 110,000 Euros. The strong moving stallion prospect bred by Georg Tönjes from Bösel will moving to a new customer from Austria. 19 foals were sold for more than 20,000 Euros.

 

The second most expensive foal will be off to Denmark. The hammer fell at 65,000 Euros for Great Bishop by Grey Flanell – De Niro – Plaisir d‘Amour, bred by Georg Bischoff from Wardenburg. A regular customer secured this stallion in Vechta at the Oldenburg foal auction.

 

Grey Flanell is also the sire of the third most expensive foal. Grandelion by Grey Flanell – De Niro – Figaro, bred by Helmut Kleen from Petersfehn, was sold for 60,000 Euros and will move to the USA.

 

The demand for jumper foals was also very positive. Quid Primaire by Quidam de Revel – Stakkato – Contender, bred by Ludger Emke from Cloppenburg, led the price statistics, selling to Nordrhein-Westfalen for 34,000 Euros.

 

Customers from abroad showed great interest in Oldenburg quality foals. In total, 26 of the 80 auction foals were sold abroad to Belgium (5), Indonesia (3), Spain (3), USA (3), the Netherlands (2), Turkey (2), Ukraine (2), Denmark (1), France (1), Canada (1), Austria (1), Sweden (1), Uzbekistan (1).

 

Total sales at the Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction reached the 1,266,500 Euros mark. Compared to last year the auction reached an increase of approximately a half million Euros. The average price was approximately 16,000 Euros.
