With only 31 days left until the start of the Tokyo Olympic Games, Germany has named the riders who will make up the Eventing team.

The German Eventing Team:

·         Michael Jung and FischerChipmunk FRH

·         Julia Krajewski and Amande De B’Neville

·         Sandra Auffarth and Viament Du Matz

Andreas Dibowski will be the alternate rider on FRH Corrida, while Christoph Wahler is the second reserve on Carjatan S, and Anna Siemer on FRH Butts Avondale is the third reserve.

The German team will be fierce contenders for the podium with the current Olympic Eventing Champion, Michael Jung, returning to defend his individual gold medals from London and Rio.

And if this newly created team’s recent results from the Luhmühlen Horse Trials are anything to judge by, they are primed for Olympic success.

Michael Jung placed first in the CCI4*-S Meßmer Trophy, while fellow teammates Sandra Auffarth and Julia Krajewski came in second and fifth.

The Australian Olympic Equestrian teams will be announced this Friday.
