Grade titles decided on Freestyle day at the Para Nationals

Sunday saw the Leader Equine Dressage Spectacular conclude at Boneo Park, and with it the Para Dressage Nationals.

CPEDI3* riders danced across all five grades, with impressive scores posted and not only Freestyle placings decided - but also overall Grade Championship titles.

The Grade I Freestyle test went to Marnie Clapham and Cherrymount Rhetorik on 65%, just ahead of Stella Barton and Falcon Disco Hit on 64.545%. Today’s results meant the overall Grade I Championship went to Marnie Clapham.

In the Grade II Freestyle, Paralympian Joann Formosa claimed the win with Lucifers Lovelight, scoring 67.989% to just beat runner up Maddison Cooke and Byalee Magic II; the two combinations have been inseparable in terms of scores throughout the event. The overall Grade II Championship went to Maddison Cooke.

The Grade III Freestyle went to Kelly Ffrost and Highfield Luda Dijon on 65.723%, with the pair also claiming the overall Grade III Championship.

Zoe Vorenas won the Grade IV Freestyle with Wis Forte on a score of 70.683%. Second place went to Kylie Christian and Bellaire Cannavaro on 65.783%, and third place went to Helen Batson riding Fayani to 62.642%. The overall Grade IV Championship went to Zoe Vorenas.

The Grade V Freestyle saw a third win for Rio Paralympian Lisa Martin and Juicy Wiggle; the pair scored 73.375% to win ahead of Dianne Barnes and Cil Dara Cosmic on 70.325% and Melissa Cannon riding PPH Zeppelin on 68.9%. Lisa claimed the overall Grade V Championship.
