Lyndal Oatley on the podium at Aachen CDI

By Equestrian Life

Australian dressage rider Lyndal Oatley has finished on the podium with mare Dante’s Herzchen at Festival 4 Dressage in Aachen (26-31 March).

Lyndal and Dante’s Herzchen finished fifth in the CDI3* Grand Prix on 70.304%, only a couple of points off Finland’s Henri Ruoste and Quentano 2 who won the class on 72.413%.

In the Freestyle, the pair scored 76.665% to finish on the podium in second place – and they were only the smallest of margins off winning, with the Belgian rider Flore De Winne leading on 76.890% aboard Flynn FRH.

It was Lyndal’s first international-level Big Tour start with 10-year-old Dante’s Herzchen, so this will definitely be an exciting combination to watch over the next few months!

You can view the results from Aachen CDI here.

Be sure to read our interview with Lyndal in the April issue of Equestrian Life magazine!
