Miriam Coleman or Mim as she is so well known is one of those talented women who seems to be able to turn her hand to anything and approach life in a clearly logical and practical way.  Mim is married to Vaughn and they live in Hobart Tasmania enjoying the many facets of life that Tasmania avail them.  Living away from the hubbub of the dressage world in Hobart, simply makes Mim all the more hungry to learn and soak up everything she can about dressage. The distance and limited number of great horses in Tasmania is not going to put Mim off from showing she can make a go of the sport and still enjoy living and all that her home state offers.

Mim has an FEI horse, Sunbury Lodge who was trained and competed in Victoria with Fleur Dawkins before Mim purchased him. Tiny, as he is known, has taught Mim so much and she is always excited by the new feelings she is learning on her journey to Grand Prix, already having competed at PSG, Inter I and Inter A and B.  Mim leaves no stones unturned in her progression to the highest levels and trains in earnest with several great trainers and is primarily coached by Lydia Jackson from Kingston Agistment.

She is one that not only is besotted by her own horse and journey, but is also seriously interested in others endeavors and success. Mim realizes the trials and tribulations of dressage and serves on the committee for Tasmanian Dressage as well.  Her passion for the sport, the horse and the people is obvious. Her joy is serious yet exuberant and ordered. Mim is one who simply loves the training and expedition that she is on towards Grand Prix and in her quiet yet enthusiastic way will grab every possible chance to enhance her voyage.  As much as she may appear modest in her approach she is full steam ahead to fulfill her dream of riding Grand Prix. Mim is one compete package. Great rider, student, business woman, cook and connoisseur of life and prepared to give it all a go!

Stay tuned as Mim will be bringing us regular updates from the 2015 FEI World Cup in Las Vegas!
