Shane Rose wins Quirindi CCN4*S

By Equestrian Life

Tokyo Olympic eventing team silver medallist Shane Rose has taken out the CCN4*S at Quirindi, NSW, with 10-year-old gelding Stakkino.

The pair were third after the dressage, but moved up the placings after jumping clear in both the cross country and showjumping. The pair picked up 26 time faults cross country, but this was to be expected with very wet conditions over the weekend, and they were in fact the fastest on course.

Shane also took second place with wife Niki’s Dreamcatcher, while Heath Ryan was third with Bronze Boy R. Courtney Slattery took fourth place with Sirrah Park Tabooba, while the other combinations in the field elected to withdraw before the cross country.

Shane also won the CCN3*S with Matrixx, while Alicia Seery riding Kings Krackerjack won the CCN2*S and Mollie Kennedy took the CCN1*S on Lavender Rise Ferghus.

Quirindi is the first eventing competition to run in NSW since early June, and it was great to have an event up and running!
