With the Burghley Horse Trials just over a week away (Sept. 1-4), there is plenty of action in store for those who are already suffering post-Olympic equestrian withdrawals.

One of the most prestigious competitions on the eventing calendar, the 2016 Burghley Horse Trials will see a number of Aussie combinations competing at the highest level.

The dressage kicks off on Thursday the 1st and Friday the 2nd, before the much anticipated cross country phase - which will follow the new route unveiled last year - takes place on Saturday the 3rd. The final show jumping phase is held on Sunday the 4th.

The draw for the CCI4* event has been released, and can be found here.
