The 2019 Victorian Youth Dressage Championships have begun

The 2019 Victorian Youth Dressage Championships, sponsored by Ellanbrae Park commenced yesterday at Boneo Park on the Mornington Peninsula. The competition will showcase a variety of classes throughout the duration of the event, with primary, secondary and under 25 classes available.

The first day of the four-day championships covered the Preliminary 1.1 and 1.2 Interschool classes, which covered the Primary, Intermediate and Senior age classifications.

The winner of the Intermediate Preliminary 1.1 class was awarded to Michael Robles and Pageboy R, who scored a total score of 69.546%. The winner of the Intermediate Preliminary 1.2 class was awarded to Abbey Mamers and Sunrise Avenue, who scored an impressive total score of 72.212%.

The winner of the Primary Preliminary 1.1 class was awarded to Rosemary Heagney and Silkwood Bubbling On, who received a total score of 71.023%. The winner of the Primary Preliminary 1.2 class was awarded to Olivia Comben and Brandy Hill Park Royal Quest, who received a total winning score of 65.962%.

There were many outstanding scores in the Senior Preliminary classes, with Charlee Martin and Ellanbrae Jupiter dominating in both the 1.1 and 1.2 classes. The unbeatable combination received a total winning score of 73.864% in the Senior Preliminary 1.1 class and a very impressive 76.346% in the Senior Preliminary 1.2 class.

The Interschool Preliminary Championship title was also awarded to Charlee Martin and Ellanbrae Jupiter, who received a total point score of 70. The runner-up Interschool Preliminary Champion was Indi Officer and Devlin Park Time Will Tell, who received a total score of 68.
