The Stotts Hill Frankston South Australian Youth Dressage Championships experienced it all! Competitors under the age of 25 descended on the Mornington Peninsula’s Boneo Park from NSW, SA and VIC to experience storms, pouring rain, boiling heat and Queensland-like humidity for the four-day event.

Despite COVID restricting some riders from attending, the competition was strong and truly represented the quality of young riders within Australia.

Annabel Shoobridge and Noble Dancer claimed the Stotts Hill Frankston South FEI Childrens Championship with a massive score of 81.875%. We congratulate Annabel on her first FEI success and look forward to watching her progress! Reserve Champion went to Marley Yates and Parklane Colorado.

The Sabble Farm FEI Pony Championship was won by Rosemary Heagney and the dancing Mr Buck Meister. Reserve Champion went to Charlotte Pennefather and Mithril Kismet.

With blue ribbons and scores above 70% in all tests it was no surprise that Jessica Dertell and the stunning Gladstone M H won the Motor One FEI Junior Championship. Reserve Champion went to Jasmine Abernethy and Royal Diamond Jubilee.

Nonetheless, the beating heart of this event is and has been for a number of years, Jan Smith. Jan has aided and inspired the majority of young dressage riders who have progressed through the levels in Victoria.
