The 18-year-old Swedish warmblood gelding was a quicky character, with a standout personality. He was bred by Marie and Olle Bjernick and was by Sire Come Back Li and Cessna.

The Grand Prix gelding was ridden by Kebie Van Der Heijden in 2009 and was then bought by the Oatley family. Lyndal competed the powerful warmblood briefly in 2010, then moved on to a different mount. Husband Patrik Kittel soon took over, with the pair making their debut at the CDI Braunschweig in 2011.

Kittel and Toy Story were a strong combination with the pair winning the Swedish Grand Prix Championships twice. Their last competition together was the CDI in Frankfurt in December 2015, where they came 5th in the Grand Prix.

Toy Story was retired from competition in 2016 due to health related issues.

We wish the Oatley’s all the best during this difficult time.
