Top performances at The Dancing Horse Dressage Championships

The Dancing Horse Dressage Championships took place at Boneo Park on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula over the weekend with competitors contesting a wide range of classes from Young Horse through to Big Tour.

On Friday, the Grand Prix went to Pauline Carnovale and Captain Cooks with a score of 70.870%. Pauline also won the Inter II class with Corinna on 69.265%, just ahead of Jayden Brown and Senator Nymphenburg on 69.177%. A Grand Prix test was also run on Saturday, with Pauline and Corinna again claiming the win, this time with a score of 70.598%; Jayden and Senator Nymphenburg were the runners up on 68.804%.

In the Medium Tour, Stephanie McDonald and Che De Jeu won Friday’s Inter A on 67.868% and Saturday’s Inter B on 67.838% to claim the Championship. A second Inter A test was also held Saturday, and was won by Dana Krause and Taittinger.

Jayden Brown and WillingaPark Quincy B won Friday’s Prix St Georges on 74.044% and Saturday’s Inter I on 73.015% to claim the Small Tour Championship. Georgina Foot and Zoe won Friday’s additional Inter I class on 72.059%, while Saturday’s additional PSG class went to Janet Seccull and Maritza on 69.633%.

In other classes, Janet Seccull and Bloomfield Vegas were crowned overall Advanced Champions, while Jayden Brown claimed the Medium, Elementary, Novice and Preliminary Championships with WillingaPark Emotion, Kasjmir, WillingaPark Tito and WillingaPark Miana respectively.

Dallas Mills and Sorrella Sunrise were Pony Elementary Champions, Caitlyn Porter and Bookra Mint Edition were Pony Novice Champions, and Mia Heinrich and Koora Lyn Marley were the Preliminary Pony Champions.

The Junior/Young Rider Championship went to Madeline Leeden and Fleur Delacour.
