Fan favourite and eventing master, William Fox-Pitt (GBR) has been given the go ahead to return to competition.

The six time Burghley winner suffered a serious accident last year. The fall at Le Lion d’Angers in October resulted in head trauma for Fox-Pitt and he has been sidelined ever since.

However, reports confirm that treatment for the injury, undertaken in both France and Britain, were successful and his specialist has now given him the all clear to get back in the saddle.

Fox-Pitt says that it’s “all systems go” and that “everything is on target” for his first confirmed event post accident at Burnham Market (1 - 3 April) with his equally recognisable mount, Chilli Morning.
